We are looking for an Industrial Hygiene and Safety Specialist to join our team of experienced technical professionals in Harrisburg, PA. If the description below sounds like you, Apply Now!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting industrial hygiene assessments in a wide variety of operations
  • Conducting safety audits and inspections
  • Recommending improvements to engineering, administrative, and protective equipment controls
  • Preparing written assessment and audit reports
  • Developing and delivering engaging training programs
  • Reviewing and assisting to update written policies and procedures  

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience conducting industrial hygiene and safety evaluations
  • B.S. degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or related field
  • A certification (ASP, GSP, IHIT) is preferred, however individuals who meet the Commonwealth of PA Accident & Illness Prevention Provider qualifications will be considered
  • Excellent written skills in preparing technical reports as well as analyzing data to produce meaningful reports and recommendations
  • Proven experience preparing and presenting effective employee and supervisor training programs
  • Ability to plan and organize various requests to meet target dates and production goals
  • Firm ability to implement effective safety and industrial hygiene management systems
  • Ability to effectively use industrial hygiene equipment to conduct employee exposure assessments for chemical, physical, and biological contaminants
  • Ability to evaluate asbestos, lead, and indoor air quality conditions and work with owners and landlords to effectively resolve related building occupant concerns
  • Ability to travel up to 15%, including periodic overnight travel
